Rafael "Liling"
Roces and widow, Leonor "Noring" Varona.
Liling was a journalist and a great writer before World War II. Later he became one of the heroes who shed their lives during the war against the Japanese Occupation. Liling married Noring on January 13, 1937 and had two children, Sylvia Roces-Montilla and Antonio Roces. Noring later remarried with Aurelio Montinola, Sr.
